The codes never expire, so I would buy a subscription on ebay (or amazon).
If this ends up getting resolved, then you have it in reserve. If it
doesn't you have it on hand to get this resolved.
You should certainly have a code in reserve, if your group is that reliant
on mobileme for its online presence.
Surely your group can afford $70 for that.
