Here's a question from a MUG member... Gary Kampel
Is there a Barrister in the house?
I have spent a good deal of time searching the internet and have not found a clear answer for my question.
My local public library (USA) has a really great selection of music and audio books on CD's.
With all I am reading about multimillion dollar judgments against music pirating, I was wondering, if I check out an album or audio book from my local public library and import the music or book into iTunes on my home computer for personal use only - no posting to any P2P file sharing network, no making copies for others - , am I braking the copyright laws?
They say
that opinions are like noses in that everybody has one. I'd prefer to know the law, rather than an opinion.
