Title: Re: AUGD: Re: Ethical conduct
I certainly got the point of your paragraph after the link.
I protest because you posted the link in the first place (thus encouraging the use of it). That was too much in my opinion.
If we were talking about someone who is grossly pirating software on a “repeat offender” basis that would be one thing. But for all anyone here knows, this was a one time occurrence.
If someone is such an uptight do-gooder that they’re going to report every single infraction in the world, I say they need to pull the stick out of their bum and relax and find more fulfilling things to do with their lives.

You're a little "over the top," Chris, as you doth protest too much! :D
I offered the link, but apparently you missed the point of my paragraph after it.
It's not a witch hunt when people have all the facts. In this particular instance they did not. However, IF they come upon a situation where they do, they have a link to report the pirate.
And yes, I do drive the speed limit, and I follow all the laws. If I have a problem with a law, there are legislators I am free to contact who can change it, if it is prudent to do so.

I’ve been refraining from commenting on this thread.
But Cheryl posting the “turn in a pirate” link was over the top.
What is this a witch hunt?
I question whether the message that started this discussion should have even had the level of detail it contained to begin with.
The matter should have been taken up with the parties in question first, not posted to a public forum prior to doing so and having all the facts.
So many of you appear to be very quick to shake a finger at others.
I suppose you drive the speed limit everywhere and always help old ladies across the street and have morals that are beyond reproach, eh?
