HAPPY HOLIDAYS ... WELCOME TO THE NEW DECADE:
As we end the decade, Lynn and Fred pass along their best wishes
for a very happy, safe, and joyous holiday - and a healthy,
productive new Decade ... starting with 2010.
-------------------------------------------------------------------
01 Stupid iPhone Tricks
Now that my wife has an iPhone, I've started noticing
iPhone apps a little more. Some of the iPhone apps I've
seen are just awesome. But others seriously question man's
intelligence. Let's take a look at some of the
most stupid iPhone tricks...

02 Safenet Decade's final
The holidays are just about over, so the cybercrime industry
has done about as much damage as they can - but that doesn't mean
it's over. The attacks are relentless, and ever increasing.
This is the last update for the decade.

03 ReseachBuzz
I used to frequent this web site a lot when I was a Research
Librarian. The author really helps you to understand all the
search engines. While it is still called ResearchBuzz, the new
sub title is: 'News about search engines, databases, and other
information collections.'

04 Disk Utility's dirty little secret and the antidote
According to Mac.blorge, Every hard drive sold today includes
built-in diagnostics designed to warn users before a disk actually
fails, giving users a chance to backup and/or transfer data.
They are reporting that on MacBreak Weekly Peter Krogh said that
Apple's Disk Utility has Self-Monitoring, Analysis, and Reporting
Technology (SMART) built-in, but it has been effectively crippled
so it doesn't report a problem until it's too late.
