We have a listserve, a website, a no-dues organizational structure [no by my choice, but past practice and board desire] and we do have a website put together by a volunteer. We are thinking of taking names/URLs/ID information from local vendors and members who can do tech work and listing them on the website. I think they should at least pay something for that [I was not thinking a bundle = like $10 a year = enough to offset the hosting costs and maybe pop at meetings].
Someone warned me about IRS seeing this as income = I pay but don't 'do' taxes = so, does anyone know how this would or might be treated by the IRS? We're not talking about more than 3-5 people I think....so I doubt there's any duty to report, but just want to see how others handle 'income' to the UG
