I found this question pretty interesting - what I read was
a UG leader wanted help in figuring out how to keep his list going - either how to use what is working already for him - some older software, on Classic, or maybe so suggestions on something newer - with the same features.
As a UG leader with many lists - and needing to add more, I found this question stimulating. I was thinking about purchasing Macware's "Email Campaign", but missed the discount deadline, mainly because I was thinking about whether or not it really would work for me. Most of our lists are well managed by our current sponsor, but in the event that support should change I need to figure this out for myself. I also need smaller more focused lists for specific needs. Right now I do not have a database, or database software, just an email address book. I would like to do mass emails that had single addresses.
I guess I am putting myself "up against a wall" here for potential execution, but this is one of the few posts on this list that has really gotten my attention for my management needs. It's all in the timing I guess.
Are there some tips about the best way to manage lists in Leopard on a MacIntel machine without having to pay a monthly fee or per name charge?
Thanks,
Claudia Crask
