I suspect that the MacWorld version is simply SHORTER than the original DVD
version (which has been available for purchase for a month now).
I'll bet that the majority of the expo audience does not have the attention
span for a 1hr 23min documentary while in the Expo environment (as oppposed
to their easy chair at home).
I would rate this production as simply "good," but no better than that. It
starts out very slowly and the storytelling is inconsistent. It also makes
the common documentary mistake of trying to "punch up" the pace by making
the background music too loud (thus drowning out the person speaking).
It's certainly worth the time and effort for any long-term Mac follower to
see it. But I can't imagine you would go and watch it again in the near
future.
