Due to a lack of suitable other places around town in which to meet other than the one we currently use, we have to do all our meeting stuff at one day/time. So we have a 3-hour period broken into 3 sessions: the first hour splits into two sessions, one of which concentrates on topics suitable for the newer Mac user (sort of a Mac 101 session) driven by suggestions from the attendees; the other of which is entitled "ask the experts" moderated by techie volunteers. The last two hours make up the general meeting at which we present a topic more in depth, have outside presenters, etc. The last 15 minutes is given over to the monthly raffle. To "service" our members between meetings, we encourage use of our web-based 24/7 multi-topic forum where questions of all sorts may be posed and be answered within a day; on it there are also tips & techniques, special MUG-only deals, show notes, etc, for all to use.
