Hi Randy,
I would like to take you up on your offer to help us find email programs to replace Eudora.
I need an email program with two features found in Eudora that I use with FileMaker Pro. I use FileMaker Pro to automatically send individual personalized emails to members of various groups and clubs I belong to and apply the particular default "From" address that I have selected. The two features I need are an email program where I can
1) turn off "Immediate Send" as well as "Send on Check" and so that it will que my outgoing emails without sending them, and
2) select a particular default "From" address that it will use on my FileMaker Pro messages.
Then, I open Eudora, look at a couple emails and the list of addresses of who they are going to in order to make a last minute check that I haven't screwed up, then select, "Send Queued Messages" when I am ready. I have caught lots of embarrassing mistakes using this procedure such as using my MUG return address with my Rotary Club, or sending a dues renewal notice to someone who already paid or misspelled something or almost anything else you can think of that can go wrong.
I never read mail in Eudora, just use it to send the mail qued by FileMaker Pro. I use Apple's Mail for normal correspondence and love it, but can't figure out how to use Mail to set the default return address and to que the emails from FileMaker Pro. I use Eudora as the default email program so that FileMaker Pro will select it.

As for the dropping of Rosetta, that's been a serious problem for many. Especially AppleWorks, Eudora and Quicken users. If anyone is still grappling with what to do about finding an alternative for any of these three programs, or any other program, I've helped a lot of users with this, and I'd be happy to make some recommendations if you like. _____________ Randy B.
