04 The RSA Security breach -- 12 months later
It's been 12 months since the security world woke to the
horror that RSA Security's systems had been compromised and --
as the company has reluctantly confirmed -- its many tens of
millions of SecurID hardware tokens would have to be re-issued
to clients. Andy Kemshall, CTO of SecurEnvoy, reviews the
IT security fiasco and what could have been
done to prevent the fallout

06 Get Started With Your New iPad
This article by Serentiy Caldwell of Macworld from March
16th is actually carried on the PCWorld website.
She admits that Apple's step-by-step activation process makes
it pretty easy to get started. But she has put together
a guide to cover areas that are not so evident

11 Protecting Your Network from the Wi-Fi Security Hole
Even if you've encrypted and secured your wireless network
with Wi-Fi Protected Access (WPA or WPA2), a security hole
affecting most wireless routers may make it fairly easy
for those with the right tools to hack your network and
connect. This new vulnerability affects most wireless
routers and allows others to crack your Wi-Fi
security no matter how strong of a password you have.

12 China escalating Tibetan cold war firmly into cyberspace
AlienVault has discovered a range of spear phishing attacks
taking place against a number of Tibetan organisations,
apparently from Chinese attackers. According to the Unified
Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) solutions
specialist, the attacks signal a serious escalation into
cyberspace of the cold war that has existed between
the two countries since the Chinese army marched
into majority Tibetan territory back in 1950.

13 Even Better Than iPhone 5: An iPhone With The 1986 Mac OS
What if Apple never changed? What if Jobs and company
decided that they'd gotten it right--really, really
right--with the classic Mac OS? What if every product
thereafter would be iterative of its graphic design,
with every title bar still rendered in
Chicago bitmap font?

14 Quotes: Victor Fiorelli; Jim Bishop and Mae West

not the difficulties in the opportunities."
- Victor Fiorelli
"The future is an opaque mirror.
Anyone who tries to look into it sees nothing
but the dim outlines of an old and worried face."
- Jim Bishop
"An ounce of performance is worth pounds of promises."
