01 Who will own the Internet if America gives it away?
. . . OR, is this the end of the Internet as we know it?
As many, including UGN, predicted in 1998, the rule of ICANN has
now come to the brink of turning the management of the internet over
to entities outside the U.S. who may not be friendly to the ideals of
the Internet. Internet insiders have always maintained that InerNIC
should never have been taken out of U.S. government control and
should have never changed the accountability structure of the
internet, DNS and domain ownership. We are all fighting and dealing
with the results of those decisions. You are now witnessing historic
moments that will provide proof that the Clinton administration made
among others, one of the worst decisions in the history of modern
mankind. Now, the Democrats, partnering with foreign pressure, want to
erase the last vestiges of internet safety and accountability.
Call your congressman and let them know the U.S. should NOT lose
control of the Internet.

02 Who will own the internet? (2009) History repeats itself
[Safenetting first published this article in 2009] It's hard to
believe that in a short fifteen years or so the internet has grown so
ubiquitous that the majority of the world truly believes it's 'just
there.' There seems to be a diminishing number of internet supporters
who still realize and understand that if there was no U.S. involvement
in the internet there would be no internet at all. The unquenchable
greed for personal gain has blinded the internet community from the
brutal reality that an unregulated internet is chaos.

03 Tech & Science Expert Refutes Notion that Google Flu is a 'Failure'
In 2009, Google announced that they suspected they could
"accurately estimate the current level of weekly influenza activity in
each region of the United States, with a reporting lag of about one
day." By tracking search engine behavior, the company hoped it could
predict flu outbreaks even faster than the CDC.

greenest global tech companies, and an investigation into differing
views on Green IT. What do you think? Is technology the cause or the
solution to climate change?
