Naples MacFriends User Group (NMUG) has been using a FileMaker Pro database maintained by several dedicated volunteers for years for the critical information about our club. But we know that we will / have burnt out the member volunteers. We tried for 2+ years to find a firm that would work with us to move the database onto the Internet so members had access (authorized) without any success.
After some searching around we are looking at using a Contact Resource Management system from CiviCRM to off load our work to a web based system so that the members can “manage” their accounts view Internet transactions. This would include: - Joining the MUG
- Paying the small annual dues amount
- Being notified of expiring membership and then
- Paying the renewal
- Register for our classes against a limit on the number of students
CiviCRM is Open Source and can work with Word Press as part of our planned web site redesign
It looks good to us
My question. Have any of you used CiviCRM and your experiences?
Thanks
Jerry King, President NMUG
