Great topic, Curt. Reminds me of the "free or low cost software" theme that was promoted a few years ago in this forum (along with a matching DMG that contained installers/demos). Our members loved that one.

For this month’s meeting our main session was: Inexpensive Alternatives to Expensive Applications. Three of us each presented a part: Alternatives to Office (NeoOffice, LibreOffice, etc), Alternatives to Photoshop (Pixelmator, Acorn, GraphicConverter, PSE), Alternatives for doing page layout (Pages). Worked out very well because many members had never heard about some of these great, less expensive applications.
TMUG typically has between 40 and 60 attendees per meeting depending on the season. We’re in the desert so snowbirds are here during the winter months and attendance is lighter during the hot summer months.
