02 Net Neutrality : FCC bill passes, neutrality wins, and more
It may be over, and it may not. The dirty little secret is no matter what the FCC or the government does, it still remains to be enforced. . . and it only applies to firms inside the U.S. So as we've said all along, there's a lot more to be afraid of than net neutrality. But if Steve is okay with it, how bad can it be, right? Then, we'll also play three videos to illustrate three different points of view on the new result. PhatWare has a revolutionary two-in-one custom keyboard for iPhones which utilizes PhatWare's state-of-the-art handwriting recognition. Penquills combines two different handwriting recognition technologies in a single application -- single character recognition input when iPhone screen is in portrait mode as well as free-style "natural" handwriting recognition in landscape. 09 Who wanted to put Type on a Circle?
Speaking of Lynda.com, the other day I had a reader ask how to do text on a circle. She had done it before but since it's not something you do every day, she had forgotten. So here's a Deke McClelland tutorial from Lynda.com on using Illustrator to put text on a circle.

11 Amazing old Photos you will want to keep
In January, Pond 5 launched its Public Domain Project with 10,000 video clips, 65,000 photos, "thousands" of sound recordings and "hundreds" of 3D models: https://www.pond5.com/free ... not too long ago, Getty's Open Content Program also opened the gates to thousands of images under an open license. This means anyone can share the images freely and without restriction. Even if you don't need an image -- this is truly fun just browsing. Search for a word and see where it takes you!

12 Apple's Music Streaming Secret Weapon: Genius
Thanks to Kirk McElhearn, I discovered Genius! Apple's Genius examines the music in your iTunes library and compares it with the libraries of others to create playlists of "songs that sound great together." Essentially, Genius looks to see what you have in common with other music listeners, and crunches numbers to find the songs that will work in a playlist based on what different people have in common.
