| I put these deals in our newsletter every month and so far, in my group, I think the only discount anyone has used is Take Control Books And that’s only when someone asks on our list serve if anyone knows if there’s a Take Control book on some issue. I’ll say sure and if you look at the end of the newsletter there’s a discount code. They’ll say, Huh, I never knew that. If they ever looked at the discounts, I’d say there really is nothing there to interest my group. I’ve used a couple of the discounts, but maybe 4 in the 10 (?) years I’ve been reporting them.
The average age of my group is probably between 65 & 70, and they don’t much go searching for stuff online! They go to their tried & true websites and that’s it.They’re really not into anything fancy. I’m not even sure they read much of the newsletter itself.
