Wondering why this is Tuesday and not Monday?
There was breaking news on Monday we wanted to cover.
-------------------------------------------------------------------
01 ICANN Report : Facing Internet Armageddon
Unfortunately the state of affairs in the world of internet governance has become very grim, and nobody seems to care. Ever since the Clinton administration, the internet has been in a slow, increasing state of peril. All the bitching and moaning about "net neutrality" is about to become reality, and as we warned, people should have been careful what they wish for. It's not going to be pretty

02 CyberSecutiry Update : Cyber War, DOJ/FBI, warfare, malware, Israel, Red Flag pilots!
Why do I keep posting these alerts? What is so important about awareness? Mainly because everyone I mention it to does not have a clue of the danger in store. I know, I'm preaching to the choir here, because most user group members already know. However, my intention is to keep it in the forefront, with hopes somebody reading it will pass it along to the mass of clueless sheep. The InfoManager continues the 20+ year tradition of keeping our memberships informed.

04 How Will Tim Cook Spin the Four-Inch iPhone?
Kirk McElhearn writes : "... some 60% of users had iPhones that were smaller than the iPhone 6 or 6s (and minuscule compared to the clown-shoe sized 6 Plus and 6s Plus). "
There is a huge market for a smaller phone, and Apple has finally realized their mistake in imposing only two sizes, both of them larger than previous models.

05 Dissing owners of older PCs, even accidentally, may not be the best way to sell them an iPad
One remark Schiller made during yesterday's launch event raised a few eyebrows. In noting that the majority of 12.9-inch iPad Pro customers had actually switched from Windows PCs, he pointed to the huge potential switchers market still out there for Apple. There are, he said, over 600 million PCs more than five years old.

06 iPad Pro gets the screen treatment some Mac pros want
On Monday Apple introduced a new version of the iPad Pro, smaller than before but equipped with the same technology as its big sibling: Smart Connector to attach an external keyboard, A9 processor inside, Apple Pencil support. One comment from Apple VP Phil Schiller caught my ear, though -- he explained that the smaller iPad Pro has a low-reflectance screen. Apple says that it's 40 percent less reflective than the iPad Air 2, which Schiller said professionals really love.

07 What's New in iTunes 12.3.3
Apple released software updates to all its operating system today, along with an update to iTunes, ostensibly to add "support for syncing iTunes with iPhone SE and iPad Pro." But, as they often do, there are minor tweaks in the update. Some of these may be bug fixes, but there are some visible changes. Here's a brief overview of what's new.

08 16 GB iPhones, the 9.7-inch iPad Pro camera, and the wrong compromises
For all its bluster about making perfect and 'magical' products, Apple has a streak of realism about it. Company execs often talk about compromise. The point is that you have to compromise on components, in order to meet certain specifications and criteria, be they to do with pricing or usability. The question is whether the right compromises are being made.
