10 Microsoft Is Looking a Lot Like the New Apple
This week, one giant technology company looked like an innovator, launching a sleek new suite of forward-looking hardware to help media professionals work more effectively. Another added a row of buttons to an existing computer. In the past, Apple would have been the former--for the moment, at least, that role has shifted to Microsoft. At an event in New York on Wednesday, Microsoft unveiled the sleek, futuristic-looking Surface Studio: a 28-inch all-in-one PC that converts into something akin to a digital drafting table.

11 Apple could have made the USB-C and Thunderbolt 3 transition easier
We knew it was coming. Ever since the 2015 release of the 12-inch MacBook, with its single USB-C port, it was obvious that this connector would make its appearance on other Macs. But Apple's recently announced new MacBook Pro with only Thunderbolt 3/USB-C ports (plus a headphone jack) may leave you grumbling.
