My pleasure!
All of the linked sites are in the cue for updates. I will try and keep all
of my pages current.
For instance, on my Macintosh Slowdown Solutions Web page, the biggest source
of user slowdowns hasn’t been added yet. And that is folks whose Mac's were
running a version of the Mac OS prior to Mojave (macOS 10.14) and whose Mac’s
also have internal rotating disk hard drives. As soon as they upgrade the OS
to Mojave or later, the internal drive gets a non-optional reformat as APFS,
which is optimized for SSD’s, and which is far from optimal for rotating disk
hard drives. Folks see a very noticeable slowdown as a result, and lots of
rotating beachballs. Apple doesn’t worn users about this ahead of time, and
I’m surprised that there hasn’t been a class action suit over this. It’s very
similar to how Apple was throttling old iPhones.
