The coercion is created by the "Convert iTunes object to Alias
object.caction" file (conversion action).
I guess it automatically converts iTunes objects into aliases for any
action that doesn't ask specifically for an iTunes item.
Here's a piece of its pList:
<key>AMAccepts</key>
<dict>
<key>Container</key>
<string>List</string>
<key>Types</key>
<array>
<string>com.apple.itunes.item-object</string>
<string>com.apple.itunes.track-object</string>
</array>
</dict>
<key>AMProvides</key>
<dict>
<key>Container</key>
<string>List</string>
<key>Types</key>
<array>
<string>com.apple.applescript.alias-object</string>
</array>
</dict>

In this workflow:

the result is a file track in iTunes. But in this workflow:

the result is an alias. Further tests suggest that this change of
type is
happening *before* Run AppleScript; that is, the Run AppleScript
step can
never receive the file track output by Get the Current Song. I
regard this
as a bug. Is it? m.
