John,

Hello group. I've been running Tiger for 2 days now, and am really
enjoying the new features. The reason I am writing is that I'd like
to automate a repetitive email that I need to send out each Monday
morning. The email goes to a group in Address Book and just states
"Pleased update the staff meeting agenda". I'd like to have this sent
out every Monday morning at @ 9AM, and although I was trying to use
automator, I didn't see where I could set a timer for the task.

You can save your workflow as an iCal Alarm by selecting "Save As Plug-in" from the "File" menu. Once created, you can adjust the alarm to trigger the workflow at the desired times.

Has iCal's alarm function been improved? I found it rather unreliable in
Panther

I haven't used it a whole lot myself for triggering scripts or workflows. However, when I have done so, it has seemed to work.

I do have a lot of alarms set to display reminder alerts, and that always seems to work okay for me. They even pop up on my iPod, which is kind of nice.
