I have a question that I have searched the world over for with no
result and have come to my last place for help hoping that a guru is
waiting by to help me. What I am going to explain is very standard
but the result is not working. I have many .mov files that I need to
batch with certain properties set like in the presentation tab to
automatically play movie when opened and enter fullscreen mode when
opened.
Now I know that there is an actual automator app for this as well as a
few that I have found on the web that batch all these mov files and
saves them out with what I just described. the problem I have is
this. I need to post all these files to the web and people will
download these from a site but the one that I save out directly from
quicktime pro starts playing immediately, just like it is supposed to.
The exact file that I batch through automator or any other program for
that matter, takes a very long time to start playing. All the
settings are set correctly but you need to see it for yourself and
test it yourself to see what I am talking about.
I really need the batch automator to work with the properties as I
have thousands of files to do and doing them one by one in quicktime
just isn't cutting it, but it has to work so I am stuck. Anyone out
there have any ideas of how this can be fixed?
I have included a couple of files for you to test and see what I am
talking about. The first one is saved directly from quicktime and the
second one is saved out by a batch like automator. You will have to
copy this link into your quicktime URL or something equivalent or just
click on it. Remember that the problem is when you download it from a
URL or web site, not playing off your hard drive.
