Passing parameters to a workflow from a script

Hello automatons,

I've created a Workflow in which the first step is a custom Action with a bunch of user-settable parameters.

Now I'd like to be able to run that workflow from an AppleScript, and somehow pass parameters from the script to the workflow.

Is there a "best practices" way of doing this? The only way I've come up with is to write a temp file from the script, which is then read and parsed by the first Action in the Workflow. This sounds like a kludge, and I'm looking for a better way.

Thanks,
Chuck
