getting the name of a file

  • Subject: getting the name of a file

Hello,

The following automator action sequence functions as a very simple backup program. It emails the selected finder item (after compressing it) to gmail. I would like to put the name of the file being sent to gmail into the subject heading of the email message. How might that be done?

Here's the sequence of automator actions as it now exists.

1. get selected items

2. create archive

3. new mail message (with a date variable in the subject heading)

4. send outgoing message

Again, I would like to add the name of the file selected in step 1 to the subject heading in step 3.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance,

Roy
