Workflow fails to run as application but run from Automator

  • Thread-topic: Workflow fails to run as application but run from Automator

I was following an old tutorial on Automator "Tutorial: Automator Basics".
Briefly, the workflow will make a copy of whatever file or folder you have
selected in the Finder and conveniently append a date-stamp onto the name of
the copy.

The workflow runs without problems when run from Automator but when I save
as an application, it hangs and I have to force quit in Activity Monitor.

I'm in Snow Leopard and used both "Workflow" saved as application, and the
template for "Application".

Thanks for any help on this.
