AppleEvent handler failed.

I was trying to use Automator to get a folder (with many sub-folders) from an external drive and import the photos contained into Aperture as referenced masters. The workflow I set up is like this:

1. Get Specified Finder Items (Since this is a one time thing, I hard coded the folder) 2. Get Folder Contents > Repeat for each subfolder found 3. (Aperture) Import Photos > Import by Reference

The workflow fails at step 3 with this error. "Aperture got and error: AppleEvent handler failed. (-10000)"

Any thought as to how I can get around this? Aperture won't recognize the subfolders during the normal in app import process. The import button is grayed out.
