to move to the folder u created?

I'm an Automator & AppleScript idiot & it may show here. When files
are selected & drag&dropped into a new folder there are no originals
left behind. It seems that if you truly move them rather than
copy&paste them with the automator then the step "deleting the files
in the original folder" would be obsolete.

that could work yes but what i like about the "New Folder" action is
that in one step i can create and name a new folder with a simple
dialog. if i choose the "move" action i have to click on the "new
folder" button, and specify a path.
maybe i'm just asking automator to do something it wasn't designed
to do.

Hey guys - quick one for you. I've searched the webs but couldn't
find anything and I'm hoping to get an answer here.
Trying to create a basic automator service that takes the files i've
selected in the finder, copies them to a new folder, then deletes
the
original(s). i've got steps 1 and 2 down but not 3. i can't figure
out how to trash the original files.
any suggestions?
Did you just try "move finder items?" Same effect as copy-then-
delete-original. At the end only one file exists at the end of
everything, and you don't have to worry about trashing anything.
