Hi Jason, please let me clarify:
Yes, ImageCapture (the app) downloads both videos and pictures from my
camera.
However, the Automator action for ImageCapture (called "Download
pictures") to do this only downloads the pictures. The videos are still
left on the camera.
How can I change the Automator script to download both?
Thanks,
Torfinn Berset
If you're doing this through ImageCapture it does handle this. It is the tool iPhoto utilizes but with access to extra features like rotation prior to importing.

Hello,
first time poster on this list.
Currently in OS X 10.6, the supplied Image Capture action for importing from camera ("Download pictures") does not download any videos taken with the camera as well. I have a Canon 5D Mark II and it takes both pictures and HD video.
imported from the camera with no problem.
Is there any way to use Automator/AppleScript to download the videos from the camera as well? Only the videos would only be acceptable too, since I could always use the "Download pictures" action for the photos. Also, I would like to delete the videos on the camera upon completed import, as is possible with "Download pictures".
