There is a simple way to use a variable anywhere in a workflow. All you have to do is save it, then Show Package Contents (right click) on the file, and open document.wflow with TextEdit (or any other text editor), search for your variable's string, and you'll get an alphanumeric value (example:<string>BD464B7A-ACDE-4A63-B595-FAF1DA6DE26E</string>), place that anywhere as $(BD464B7A-ACDE-4A63-B595-FAF1DA6DE26E) and it will be your variable. Useful for scripts.

I'd like to output text including variable values that are already set.
I thought that I could put the variable in place by dropping it on a Get Specified Text box but that did not work.
Are there alternatives to do that ?
