I used a really neat trick in OS 10.4 to get Automator to show and hide hidden files for me. I am now finding myself needing to see hidden files for the first time since I got 10.6, and I assumed it would be just as easy to create the same workflow (which I originally found at http://theappleblog.com/2007/04/30/quick-tip-showhide-hidden-files/#comment-82733), but it turns out Automator is totally different and I am very frustrated that I haven't been able to figure out how to do something that should be so simple.
I have been working on this for a couple hours and cannot figure out how to get Automator to do it anymore, nor can I find any useful tips on the internet for how to do this. I noticed that there was this mailing list, so I am hoping somebody on the list will know how to do it.
Thank you for your help.
Melanie
