Whenever I select an URL (in the address bar or any text within a Safari page that is recognized as an URL) and run the service (either from the Service menu or from the contextual menu) the URL is shown within a dialog box. So no problems as far as I can see (I use the latest Mac OS and Safari version).

Only when I select the URL in the URL bar, but the same URL in the text, a no go.
Will check how URL manager Pro do the job, but doesn't find the service, even not inside the app package. Otherwise I should go back to text.

Yes, I believe its by design, but what if I just want to do something like do an action for Safari without any input selected in the service. People wont look first at the service menu in the page and then at the service menu, or visa versa. Doesn't feel right to me. Right click without any selection should work too.
