Good evening Bill,
I was in the same situation this morning due to what we're doing at home for the moment. Due to the number of pictures and for security it was necessary.
The solution seems to be, but if Automator is able to do it I'll change for it otherwise : GraphicConverter from Thorsten. Thanks to the EXIF datas, you can add the date and time into one of the corners of your pictures.
To give you an example here is a video from Thorsten, the principle is the same.
I'll post a tutorial about date and time with GraphicConverter on my website as soon as I can. For the moment at home they're working really fast, and I've to be there. I promise to do it for the end of this w-e.
Sorry for my poor english, I speak french ;-)
Have a nice day or evening,
Thierry
