A couple of suggestions…

* iPhoto will allow you to adjust the date/time for a batch of photos. Just select them and choose Photos > Adjust Date and Time from the menu bar. You can choose whether or not to modify the original files.

* If it's the modification date you want to change, my "Set Modification Date of Finder Items" action might help. It's part of my "Finder Automator Action Pack".
