Olivier-

The command also needs s device specified. My drive is named Slick, so diskutil repair permissions Slick. On my machine running 10.7.3 after saving the action as an application, I do not get the error you do. Can you run the command in the Terminal w/o a pw? If you have several Volumes mounted on your Mac, you will need to specify the device as /Volumes/VolumeName and the device name may need to be delimited, i.e. 'Macintosh HD' with either single or double quotes.

Craig,

it says "Ownership of the affected disk is required" eventhough I am the owner.
I tried "sudo diskutil repairpermissions" and its asks for a password. Gave it the admin password, but still same message.

Suggestions welcomed.

Oliver-

the command diskutil run via a shell script should do it. The -repairpermissions parameter will get you close. Run the command man diskutil in Terminal to explore the various ways the command works.
