iCal to Mail challenge

dear all,

i have an idea to create an iCal event which would trigger and update my signature in Mail.
iCal events can start the automator functions, but i couldn't make the second part; that is updating the signature without using mouse recording.
i tried several methods, but i couldn't really record the mouse in a fail-safe way.

any ideas and inputs are more than welcome..
