Hi Sasha and thank you for the help.


- what you say makes good sense.  being a newbie with Automator I'm not sure how to create that.

- I click on the link to the variables tab  – top left corner and clicked on an AppleScript variable and filled it in with

set thetext to get contents of (the clipboard) as text

-  but it put it at the bottom of the script = called applescript

- next added a step above  audio - = get value of variable (applescript)

- but don't know how to connect it to the audio step....
