How can I modify speech preferences before creating a file?

Hello,
I'm trying to get Automator to ask for some text, then let me choose a
voice to preview the words, then after speaking the words if I say it's
good - proceed to create an AIFF file. If I do not approve of the
preview, then I want to start over from the beginning to make changes
again and again (Loop) until I'm ready to create the AIFF.
I can get Automator to ask for the text, then speak it using a voice I
select....
or...
I can get Automator to create the AIFF using the text I provide....
But i can't figure out how to get a chance to preview/approve before the
procedure continues. Any advice?
