Hi folks
I'm an infrequent Automator user – but I am trying to simplify a tedious monthly task.
I receive a bunch of monthly performance "dashboards" that arrive as individual Excel files. Each file only has one active sheet – but that is divided into two sections: One section has the charts and headline data – this is what the management and Board needs to see. The second area has all the formulas and data and is irrelevant for presentation purposes. These files come from an external source and we are unable to adjust their formatting in any way.
I am trying to build an automator workflow that will open a spreadsheet, capture a specific selection of cells (always a1..o187) and "print" the selection to PDF, adjusting the output to 1 page wide and 6 pages long. This last step is where I am getting stuck. I can simply convert to PDF – but I get the extraneous information. I have installed a "PDF Printer" but that doesn’t seem to work reliably when I try to set the print options to 1 page wide.
Can anyone help me?
For reference I am using OS X 10.7 and have MS Office 2011.
Thanks
Craig
