Hi Stan,

It is difficult to interpret what your Workflow is missing, because the specific steps are not listed. It would sound to me that you are asking Automator or Calendar to actually open the Reminders.app application(?), which it cannot do, unless that is the name you gave your Automator workflow application.
Did you create your Automator Workflow as a Calendar Alarm event?

Take care,

Greetings all,

I am very green behind the ears with regard to Automator. I wrote a two step Automator workflow and scheduled it to run this morning via Calendar. The alert in the Calendar entry points directly to the Automator app file in my library, but when I got to work this morning, I was greeted by a pop-up window that says:

“The “open file” alert that was assigned to the event “Reminder” didn’t run on October 31, 2013 because Reminder.app couldn’t be opened.”

Why? How do I fix this? Is it a permissions error of some sort. I have it scheduled from the same account that authored and saved the Reminder.app file.
