replace first 5 character of a filename with automator

Hi,

I frequently use Automator to fix filenames I work on, but I have 10,000 files I need to rename and need a new workflow I think....

The files are numbered, so the replace text function doesn't work as it only finds that exacts number.

for example, I have

XX1000
XX1001
XX1002
XX1003

etc

and I want to

change those files to

YY0001
YY0002
YY0003
YY0004

I think maybe if I could get automator to replace 'first 6 characters' with my chosen text, that might work?

I'd really appreciate any help with this?

thanks,

Michael
