  • Thread-topic: Broken Automater calendar action script

Greetings Automator gurus;

About 2 or three months ago, I set up an Automator calendar action that is supposed to be invoked via a repeating calendar entry twice a week. This action is very simple. It uses the “New Mail Message” function, followed by the “Send Outgoing Messages” function to send a reminder message twice a week to my co-workers. This stopped working this month. It was working fine in December. I shut down my Mac to go on holiday break and I restarted it on Jan. 2nd when I returned to my office. I have left my Mac on since, but each time this Automator action is scheduled, I get a pop up menu that says it could not be executed. How do I find out why? I tried running this Automator action through the Automator app and it works fine. Sends an email out to the address specified in the action with the subject and text in it, but I have no clue how to investigate why it isn’t working and why it worked fine before I shut down my Mac on Dec. 22nd, but not since I started it on Jan. 2nd.

Any tips will be appreciated.
