Title: Re: Detecting Bluetooth devices
We establish a pairing between the mouse and keyboard and the computer. On boot, we attempt to connect to them once. If successful (it won’t always be), they “just work”. If not, then you must click the mouse or type on the keyboard, and they connect to us. So, discovery only happens one time, when you pair them, and all devices “know” about each other. Is that what you mean by “how do they work”? That’s a pretty open question. :-)

Given the way BT works, in my opinion it is really much better to have an action of the user to be the trigger of an attempt to connect, it is better from an RF band usage point of view, and it is a better from an user experience point of view.
