ping over L2DAP?

Hello developers:)

I am programming in C API of IOBluetooth.framework and i want to
develop some sort of ping for bluetooth. Sending ECHO_REQUEST by
calling IOBluetoothDeviceSendL2CAPEchoRequest, but is there any way to
realize that ECHO_RESPONSE was recieved until
IOBluetoothDeviceSendL2CAPEchoRequest function will be fully
implemented as it is mentioned in framework reference discussion?
