Hi Mortiz,
A few notes about the PDA-Sync port and serial ports in general:
1. The Bluetooth-PDA-Sync is a serial port service, but it is special to the
system.
2. You are not supposed to be able to change it's name - that is why the
text field is disabled. If you added a new serial port service, it would let
you change the name.
3. When you click the ON/OFF button (there is not a Enable/Disable button),
you are seeing the proper behavior - the serial still exists, but it cannot
be accessed, and thus the timeout error. The reason we did it this way is
that these serial ports are supposed to mimic "real" serial ports, and thus
still exist but are not accessible. If you think this should be changed to a
behavior where if they are "off" they are not visible via SDP, please file a
bug.
4. This behavior is not new to Intel.
Thanks,
jason
