Tom,

check out http://discussions.apple.com/category.jspa?categoryID=145 for end user bluetooth issues.

sorry to post here, but there isn't any other bluetooth list;-}

i'm trying to use a plantronics explorer 330 headset on my 1.66mHz intel duo minimac...i've successfully paired it, i can output to it, input from it (as long as the output keeps the cnxn alive...is there any other keep-alive? and sys prefs seems to get confused: won't in- or output after changes)

but speech recognition fails: i can't turn down the gain enough so that the calibration level falls below 1/2 scale on silence:-(& still get input: slider's low==0)-:

i suspect the culprit is noise: output is sometimes scratchy, even though i'm 2m from the mini. is there some majick incantation i haven't found yet? i've run b/t explorer, & see lots of settings: link policy has master/slave, sniff, hold & park modes checked; connection packet types has dm1, dm3, dh1, dh3, dms & dhs, all unchecked.

or am i asking too much from the bluetooth i/f...i also have a kbd & trackball;-}
