- Thread-topic: Avoiding popup dialog on OBEX file reception
Hello,
I'm a recent "switcher" and quite new to Cocoa Development, so far i seem to
manage for the most part :-)
I'm currently working on an application that receives files via bluetooth
and then does further processing, which I'd like to work fully in
background.
Now, when a file is coming in from my paired and authorized (=favorites)
device, the bluetooth stack still opens a popup message announcing that the
file has been received and the user has to acknowledge that popup dialog.
Is there a way to programmatically avoid the popup dialog from my
application if the file is of the type my application is accepting and
processing? (the files have a distinctive file extension)
I hope this does not involve implementing my own OBEX Service
because I'd like all files to be stored on disk when the application is not
running in order to process them on the next application startup.
I'd really appreciate any hints and/or code samples/snippets,
Thanks & greetings,
/ Karl
