Hello --
I am doing some initial research on a gestating bluetooth product, and am surprised I haven't a simple "device scanner" for Bluetooth.
What I'm specifically looking for is a program that will:
- scan for all nearby devices
- dump any and all information that I can get about those devices prior to pairing
The "search" function under Mac's Bluetooth support in System preferences does show the device name, but I assume there is a lot more information to be seen during the device discovery. Part of my research on this new product is documenting what can be seen by a single device through a week of constant scanning in public.
Any programs out there (Linux/Mac) that show wireshark/ethereal level amounts of information regarding all nearby devices?
If the answer is no, I am interested in hiring a developer to make this type of application.
Thank you!
Alan
