Hello,
I've seen that IOBluetoothDevice got a new method:
-[IOBluetoothDevice setSupervisionTimeout:]
I could not find any information on the unit of the timeout nor what
exactly this timeout is doing, in either the developer documentation
or the headers.
Some users of my application (Remote Buddy) have reported that under
Leopard the connection between their remote and their Mac will
randomly terminate after they haven't used it for a few minutes. It
used to work just fine under Tiger.
So I basically have two questions:
Is there a known problem in the Bluetooth stack that could cause this?
What does the new method actually do? (i.e. will calling it with 60
lead to a timeout after no data has been transfered for a minute and
subsequent connection shutdown? What's the default value of the
timeout?)
Thanks in advance for any help, insight or advice you can provide.
Best regards,
Felix
