BLE Peripheral value indication in the background

Hi,

I'm just thinking what happens if a BLE app is running in the background, while a BLE peripheral is connected and a Characteristic is indicated or notified.
I can see a window similar to a local or push notification, that an accessory would like to open my app.
When I click on view, what happens? Is this value buffered somewhere? 

Is the method 

- (BOOL)application:(UIApplication *)application didFinishLaunchingWithOptions:(NSDictionary *)launchOptions

of my app delegate called?
