The Bluetooth Accessory Design Guidelines (R5, https://developer.apple.com/hardwaredrivers/BluetoothDesignGuidelines.pdf) states that the broadcaster profile is an allowable accessory profile.

How can I scan for/receive (observe) the broadcaster advertising packets? Should they show up in CBCentralManager's callbacks, or somewhere else? I'm interesting in iOS 5 specifically, but I can find no documentation for how to read them from OSX either.

I tried it once before w/ the vanilla TI broadcaster project for the CC2540, but it was not visible in iOS using the same code that works for the peripheral project.
