If you go to http://developer.bluetooth.org and download the "Bluetooth Quick Start Kit", you'll find a document called BLE_101.pdf, which covers the material you're asking about.

Hope this helps you out.

Folks,

Without descending into parsing exercises of the "shalls" and "wills" of the spec, is there a good overview doc of the BLE protocol, in particular, a graphic representation of the state machine of a BLE device as it gets discovered, negotiates a connection, etc?

TIA,

Mike (who's been using ANT and wants to expand his repertoire :-)

PS: Yes, I know about the Apple BLE usage guide.
